Appointments
Our practice uses an appointments system to help reduce waiting times. We make appointments at approximately 15 minute intervals.
If you feel that you need a longer appointment, please help us by advising the receptionist when making your appointment and additional time will be allowed.
We have a daily open surgery from 8.30 to 9.30am for urgent or unexpected problems where no appointment is necessary.
For other emergencies during the day, patients will be seen immediately by the first available doctor.
Surgery hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 11.30am Saturdays.

Home Visits
Home visits are available for patients unable to attend the practice. These are usually scheduled after normal consulting hours.
After Hours
The doctors at the Meadows Medical Centre take part in an after hours roster through Mullumbimby Memorial Hospital.
Patients can arrange to see the doctor on call for urgent medical problems by phoning 66842266.
Facilities and Equipment
Our surgery has excellent facilities including five consulting rooms and three treatment rooms.
We have equipment to perform electrocardiograms, therapeutic ultrasound, respiratory function tests, pregnancy testing,
allergy tests, hearing tests, suturing of wounds and removal of skin lesions, and insertion of hormone implants and IUDs.
Wherever possible we use disposable equipment which is discarded after a single use.
Reusable surgical instruments are autoclaved ensuring that modern sterilisation standards are met.
Privacy
All patient consultations and medical records including computerised records are kept strictly confidential.
Drugs of Addiction
This Practice follows strictly, the NSW Department of Health guidelines concerning the prescribing of sedatives, strong analgesics and narcotics.
